Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at one of RVA's favorite 'fests!  We welcome over 50,000 guests each year and our event is managed and run by volunteers who fill over 900 shifts throughout the weekend (and several days leading up to the event)!

Want an Official 20th Annual Oktoberfest Volunteer Hat and/or food/drink vouchers?

- All volunteers working a shift in FOOD CONCESSIONS, KITCHEN, GRILL or PACK UP will receive an awesome Oktoberfest Volunteer baseball hat. 
- All volunteers working 2 shifts will receive a voucher for a beverage and pretzel or dessert. 
- All volunteers working 3 or more shifts will receive an Oktoberfest Volunteer baseball hat PLUS meal & drink voucher. 

You can pick up your voucher and/or hat at the Volunteer Check-In Booth. 

** ATTENTION PARENTS AND STUDENT VOLUNTEERS (Ages 13-17): Students under the age of 13 are not allowed to volunteer at Oktoberfest. Students (Ages 13-17) MUST have a parent sign off to approve your volunteering at the event (see waiver) and to verify that you will be in attendance for all shifts you sign up for. Only sign up for the shifts you will work. STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SIGN UP ANY OTHER VOLUNTEER (so your friends MUST sign up on their own). We understand that things can happen, but we are counting on you. This is a volunteer-led and volunteer-run event and everyone's help is needed. In order to receive credit for your service hours (for your school AND for parish students applying for the Oktoberfest Scholarship) it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check in AND check out with your area lead onsite at the beginning and end of every shift you work. IF YOU DON'T SIGN IN AND SIGN OUT FOR EACH SHIFT, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VERIFY YOUR HOURS. You can sign in/out with your area lead OR at the main Volunteer Check In table. Thank you!
